Make "Seoul Streetcar No. 381" Alive!

The Seoul Museum of History announced that the first national restoration of "Seoul streetcar no. 381" will be implemented from March to June of 2009.  The Seoul streetcar no. 381 is a bogie type in semi-steel(Height: 3m, Length: 13.7m, Width: 2.15, Weight: 18ton). The streetcars were brought by Japan in 1930s and their running was stopped in 1968. After its keeping in the Korea Electric Power Corporation and the Children's Grand Park, the Seoul Museum of History took it over in December of 2008. This no. 381 is one of the two survivals as a result of scrapping 176 streetcars in 1968. The Museum is going to collect as many materials as possible on the Seoul Streetcar no. 381 in Japan as well as Korea to restore it to its original form.
